So we'll have a little bit of an overview of TikTok and I'm going to try and convince you all to get on there.
And I know that a lot of you cringe when you think of TikTok and you're reluctant to join for the same reasons that I was reluctant because
it's still seen as a you know a silly platform, a platform for kids, a platform that's just full of idiots that go on there
just to entertain themselves and goof off basically.
You're not wrong, there still is a lot of trash on TikTok. However, since its first launch, which I think was back in like 2015,
TikTok initially started off as a video sharing platform where you could share very short 10, 15 second long videos
and all the videos were just people goofing around, you know, making cat videos, singing and dancing and it's just a bit of a laugh really.
So over the last number of years, TikTok has evolved and it's now used by lots and lots of small businesses all around the world
because they've cottoned on to the fact that it's free organic marketing and it's eyeballs on your business.
So you can get a lot of views in a short space of time with not much effort on TikTok and that's why it's becoming so popular for small businesses,
clusters as well. What's good about TikTok, I've sort of said there a few of the negatives about it, it's associated with being silly, making silly video
but what's good about TikTok is inside TikTok is a free video editor that's quite simple to use.
So if you're sort of a video making virgin, if you like, and you don't make videos and you don't know how to start making videos,
you haven't got any software, you're not sure how to get going with it, TikTok would be a really good
first step for you to take using your smartphone, downloading the app, making a quick video off your phone,
going into the free video editing tools within TikTok which will give you half a dozen little tools to add music and trim the videos
and change the volumes and things like add captions and you can explore video editing on TikTok rather than having to go off,
download different apps, learn how to use them, you can literally do it all through TikTok and it's for free again.
So it's a good starting point guys for video creation and content creation and getting some videos out there.
